While the federation&#8217;s website goes on to remind us of certain fundamentals &#8211; framework, process, objective &#8211; there is still plenty of room for conscious or unconscious drift. It&#8217;s easy to confuse coaching, mentoring, training, psychology and consulting, and this doesn&#8217;t prevent the worst: lack of self-awareness on the part of the coach, the illusion of praxis &#8211; originally, according to the Greeks, the activity of free people &#8211; and therefore manipulation of the coachee. The arrival of new practices such as <strong><span style=\"color:#6C2DE8;\">augmented coaching<\/span><\/strong> or <strong><span style=\"color:#6C2DE8;\">data<\/span><\/strong> and<strong><span style=\"color:#6C2DE8;\">AI<\/span><\/strong> must make us wonder. This discipline has been developing <strong><span style=\"color:#6C2DE8;\">since the 60s<\/span><\/strong>. Initially, it was a transposition of top-level sports coaching, which borrowed its vocabulary and the quest for performance from it; but coaching draws on many other theoretical sources, some of them ancestral, such as maieutics. Psychoanalysis, the systemic approach, cognitive sciences, transactional analysis, NLP and gestalt psychology are just some of the currents that make up the water table in the field of coaching. This freedom, however desirable it may be <strong><span style=\"color:#6C2DE8;\">a source of lost bearings<\/span><\/strong>. Humans are living organisms, prey to their environment and the internal systems that regulate it. This is confirmed by the predominance of certain physical and psychological disorders and illnesses at different periods in history. Currently, the psychosocial risk that is making the headlines is <strong><span style=\"color:#6C2DE8;\">burn-out<\/span><\/strong> and its variants <strong><span style=\"color:#6C2DE8;\">bored-out or brown-out<\/span><\/strong> \u00b2    <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Entre l\u2019environnement de travail parfois d\u00e9nu\u00e9 d\u2019humanit\u00e9 et l\u2019humain qui contribue au syst\u00e8me, difficile d\u2019\u00e9tablir une distinction entre causes et cons\u00e9quences. A recent discipline on the human scale, and one that is constantly evolving, coaching is seeking its own path, just like those who call upon it. <\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-ef0b0a7 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"ef0b0a7\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-f6bdefa\" data-id=\"f6bdefa\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c1b4bdb elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c1b4bdb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Virtue or pragmatism, <strong><span style=\"color:#6C2DE8;\">today, human development is at the heart of the concerns of modern organizations.<\/span><\/strong>. In a constantly evolving professional world, coaching has become <strong><span style=\"color:#6C2DE8;\">a key tool<\/span><\/strong> to help individuals flourish, while generating positive systemic impacts within organizations. Through various theories, such as those of Chris Argyris\u00b3  <\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cybern%C3%A9tique\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">cybernetics<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Constructivisme_(%C3%A9pist%C3%A9mologie)\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">constructivism,<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  we better understand how these elements interact. A study conducted by the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) revealed that companies that invest in developing their employees&#8217; skills can <strong><span style=\"color:#6C2DE8;\">increase their productivity by 24%.<\/span><\/strong> (ASTD, 2014). Gregory Bateson \u2074 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  emphasized that change in one element of a system can have unexpected repercussions on other elements (Bateson, 1972). This principle is relevant to coaching, where improved communication or a change in behavior on the part of an individual can <strong><span style=\"color:#6C2DE8;\">positively influence team dynamics and even organizational culture<\/span><\/strong>. Research published in the Journal of Workplace Learning found that employees with access to collaborative coaching programs are <strong><span style=\"color:#6C2DE8;\">36% more likely to feel engaged in their work<\/span><\/strong> (Baker, 2020).
